THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Cannes Daily
POSITIVELY POSITIVE – Contributor
“I’m hyper-aware, both personally, as well as professionally, about the impact the stories that are told in our society have on our culture, as well as on our expectations for our own lives.
Analyzing these storytelling tropes and their impact is part of the work I do through my production company, Conscious Cinema Co.
SUBCONSCIOUS MIND MASTERY -Podcast Interview
“WHO makes the films that affect our culture matters. You can cast your vote through the movie tickets you choose to purchase”
NATIVE SOCIETY – Interview
“I decided to… create the change I wanted to see in the industry, both in terms of healing the toxic culture that lends itself to sexual harassment, as well as by producing films that are mindful in terms of subject matter, imagery and influence.”
FEMINIST WEDNESDAY – Guest Post
“Take back your power. The world needs your light, your voice, your goodness. We need more female voices and this is how they get shut out. Fight for your dreams like you’re fighting for your life.”
THRIVE GLOBAL – Guest Post
“I continued my healing journey and began to turn my pain into my power, creating spiritual rituals, developing a movement and meditation practice, working with a therapist, and discovering new ways to nurture myself and deepen my connection to a divine source of love and inspiration.
When I was 25, I launched my social impact production company, Conscious Cinema Co., and created my first feature film, Quarter Life Coach (about an aspiring life coach having a quarter-life crisis). I bootstrapped the production and wrote, directed, and starred in the film, which won awards at niche festivals.
I built community with powerful women filmmakers and joined forces with other survivors, finding myself at the forefront of the Me Too movement. ”
SHOUTOUT LA – Interview
Writing is my first love, acting perhaps my most passionate, and directing my most elusive. A lot of my early writing is my most personal, which I think is a sort of natural course for a lot of writers. I’m getting really excited now, however, moving into writing a female-driven Action-Adventure series. I’ve been compiling notes and scribbles on it for years, but am grateful to finally have space in my life to fully flesh out the first YA Novel – I can’t tell you how fun it is! I’ve always been into books that are also movies and have dreams about turning it into a studio feature one day (we’ll see!).
VOYAGE LA – Interview
“This year has been huge in calling attention to sexual harassment and the gender parity issue, which makes me more optimistic than ever, though we should all remain cautious and aware that just because these topics are getting media coverage does not necessarily mean that the day-day change is fully taking effect. This is really just the beginning––change takes time, especially for such deep-rooted issues. For me, personally, as heartbreaking as some of my early experiences were, they have initiated me into my sense of purpose in the world, and for that, I can say I am grateful.”
