Nicole Wensel is an award-winning writer, director, actress and founder of Conscious Cinema. She holds a BA in Cinematic Arts Production from USC Film School with an emphasis on Writing/Directing & additional studies in Theater Arts.
Her most recent film, Supermodel, premiered at the Festival de Cannes Marché du Film in the historic Palais des Festivals.
Chosen as an Official Selection at over 36 International Film Festivals and receiving a total of 32 Awards - including multiple Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Fashion Film wins - Supermodel has been making waves on the festival circuit.
From Italy to Dubai, Paris, UK, Sweden, Toronto, Portugal, Kosovo, India, all across America (and beyond!) ~ Nicole’s work has been received with laughter and tears while offering audiences an opportunity to contemplate themes like the rise of modern superficiality in the wake of social media addiction, the male gaze on women’s bodies from the female perspective, and the journey toward feeling “enough” in one’s own skin.
Nicole’s work has appeared on the pages of The Hollywood Reporter, Tribeca ShortList, and Thrive Global. After surviving sexual harassment on her first screenwriting job, Nicole empowered herself by writing, directing, and starring in the feature film, Quarter Life Coach - a completely independent project she bootstrapped the production of at age 25. Nicole is currently splitting her time between California and Florence, Italy, where she lives with her fiancé & is developing her next project.
